***********************************

I've watched this movie over the weekend with my uni bffs.

I am so proud of my dearest Tom Hiddleston for top billing this film! Although his name is on top of the billing cast, he wasn't stealing all the limelight. Hihi. And that makes Tom super nice.

Anyway, I didn't expect this movie would be that good. But I honestly liked it. I think it's the best Kong movie in all King Kong movies I've seen.

And if you're a Hiddlestoner, you definitely wouldn't want to miss this.

Film: Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015)

Directed by : Leigh Whannell
Produced by : Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan
Written by: Leigh Whannell
Starring :

Dermot Mulroney as Sean Brenner
Stefanie Scott as Quinn Brenner
Angus Sampson as Tucker
Leigh Whannell as Specs
Lin Shaye as Elise Rainier

I’m not a fan of horror movies, but the three installments of the Insidious movies are definitely my favorite especially the very first film. I’m not also the type who can easily get scared by horror films, but this one has that scary factor, enough to make me scream. I cannot count in my fingers on how many times I screamed in the whole duration of the movie. Haha! I’m not scared like you know, scared. But it has, uhmm... what do you call it? I cannot even find the perfect words to describe the movie. LOL. When I watch a horror film, I can easily move on and forget all about it after watching it. Because the more you think about it, the more you get scared. Do you get what I mean? LOL. I’m practically saying the word “scared” over and over again.

Anyway, let’s go back to Insidious: Chapter 3, the movie is actually a prequel of the first two installments of Insidious movies. It's about the story of the teenager Quinn Brenner, who wanted to contact the spirit of her mother, who died a year ago, through the retired parapsychologist Elise Rainier. Elise doesn't want to use her psychic ability anymore because of some “reason” which I don’t want to tell here, you have to find it yourself. LOL! So after Quinn's visit to Elise, she started seeing a mysterious man which led her to an accident. And that basically started her journey with the demon. Journey with the demon talaga?! wtf!

The story's okay and I kinda like it. Like I said, the terror factor was enough to entertain me and enough to make me scream. The demon was very scary and ugly. And oh, I have to say, good job to the one who did the sound effects! LOL. That was pretty scary and I get surprised every time the sound turns to something like when the demon has to show up. I hope you get what I mean. And about the acting, the characters are pretty good in acting their roles I have no complaints about it.

Oh, before I end this “movie review”, I have to say that the lead actress, Stefanie Scott is so pretty she resembles Selena Gomez and Miranda Kerr and also the Filipina actress Coleen Garcia.

3 out of 5 stars!

Psychological Thriller

LOL. But seriously, it is that genre of movie that I'm so into right now. While watching the film, you get to ask yourself with a lot of questions. Though, most of the psychological thriller films I've seen so far do not have the kind of endings like a normal film. It's up to your own conclusion.

Before the new year had started, I've come to watched some psychological films, that I must say, are indeed beautifully made and mind-boggling.

(2000)

Directed by : Christoper Nolan
Based on : Memento Mori by Jonathan Nolan
Starring : Guy Pearce (who looks like Brad Pitt in this movie), Carrie-Ann Moss, Joe Patoliano

The Machinist
(2004)
Directed by: Brad Anderson
Written by : Scott Kosar
Starring : Christian Bale

**Kudos to Christian Bale! Imagine that, he lost a lot of weight just for this movie! Not all actors would do that just for the sake of playing the roleHe was an amazing actor. Ang napansin ko kay Señor Bale (as he was often called by fans), he made sure that he gets into the character of his role. If you get what I mean.

These movies are both interesting. IF you have time, I suggest that you watch it. Pramis!

Rekindling an Old Flame ♥

I've loved Leonardo DiCaprio since I was 10 years old. I may not be updated with his works but through the years, he stayed as one of my favorite Hollywood actors. And recently, I watched his movie Django Unchained in the cinema with my college friends and Leo was so great as the creepy villainous Calvin J. Candie (we all know he always is with his every movies or I'm just biased :p) that my love for him rekindled. I miss him so much that I had a marathon of his previous movies last Holy Week vacation and it was satisfying :).
