65th Miss Universe is Iris Mittenaere of France!

So today (Philippine time) is the 65th Miss Universe coronation night. I'm excited. Good thing I was able to watch it becos we now have TV here at the office.

I'm happy for the results of the Miss Universe 2016. And I'm also happy with the Philippines' bet Maxine Medina's top 6 finish. She gave it her all and we are truly proud of her. It ain't easy being in the top 6, right?

But what I am most happy about is that finally,  a girl from a European country wins as the new Miss Universe! Yaaaay! I've always wanted someone from Europe to win the prestigious pageant in the universe! It's been a long while, you know? If we won't count Russia's win back in 2002, we had waited for 26 years (Norway won Miss Universe in 1990) for a European girl to be crown as Miss Universe.

This edition gave me a lot of roller coaster ride of feelings! The girls in the top 13 were unpredictable! Congratulations, Iris Mittenaere for winning the title of 65th Miss Universe. And congratulations to your country and to Europe! You finally got the crown. Amaaaaazing!

Vive la  FRANCE!

Miss International 2016 is Kylie Versoza of the Philippines!

Omggg!

I know you have heard about it already. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Philippines' bet Kylie Verzosa is the new Miss International 2016! She bested out 68 girls and eventually bagged our country's 6th Miss International crown. I knew it from the get-go that she would win it. Or if not the eventual winner, Kylie would be among the top 5. But I've always believed in her (haven't followed her journey tho in Binibining Pilipinas) and looking at her, she totally screams Miss International. Yep, hands down.

`So happy that I got to witness the crowning of a Miss International from my country, the Philippines in my lifetime and for the third time.

Your kababayans are so proud of you, Queen Kylie! Congratulations! Hurrah!

Miss International crown totally fits Kylie Verzosa's head. ♥

Miss USA 2015 is Olivia Jordan!

Hello~ it's been a while. I thought, it's time to post something here since it is July already.

Anyway, the blog today is about the recently concluded Miss USA 2015 which was held yesterday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Fifty-one girls from different states battled for one crown. And the emerging winner, as most of the pageant fans have predicted, is the girl from Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan! Yay! I actually liked her from the start for the crown. And I watched the recorded video on YouTube and I must say that Olivia Jordan is totally a deserving winner. She was also the best in the Q & A portion which some of the girls in the top 5 stumbled with their answers. So, yeah~ I was really happy that she got to win the crown.

And oh, btw, she was actually the representative of the United States in the Miss World pageant back in 2013. They say that it's the first time an American held both titles Miss World United States and Miss USA and be able to compete in both pageants. I'm hoping for the best for her in the upcoming Miss Universe 2015 pageant! :)

She's the classic all-American girl! Congratulations Olivia Jordan!

63rd Miss Universe is Colombia's Paulina Vega!

Kinda late post~

I'm not surprised that Colombia won the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant held in Doral, Miami, Florida. From the start, she was predicted to be the emerging winner in the said beauty pageant by lots of pageant enthusiast in the forum I frequented.

Paulina Vega's catwalk and body is such perfection!

I'm not a fan of Paulina but I admit that she is such a real beauty and I really think that she deserved winning the Miss Universe title. She is feisty, pretty, sexy, fierce, and charming on stage. It is only the second time her county bagged the Miss Universe crown. The last time Colombia won was in 1958.

Isn't she lovely? Congrats, Paulina Vega of Colombia!! :) I hope she will have a memorable reign as Miss Universe.

P/S the new crown ~ DIC crown looks like a kryptonite. LOL wth. seriously, Mr. Trump?

Miss World 2014 is South Africa's Rolene Strauss!

Miss World 2013 Megan Young crowning Miss South Africa as the new Miss World.

Isn't she lovely? Almost everyone in the Misso forum wants her to get the blue crown.

I'm hoping we'll have a great Miss World in Rolene Strauss just like Miss World 2013 Megan Young. Rolene is a goddess. ♥

Nia Sanchez is Miss USA 2014~!

Got the chance to watch Miss USA 2014 pageant this morning via live streaming. I was anticipating this because like I said, I'm a huge beauty pageant fanatic and Miss USA is one of my favorite competitions ever aside from Miss Universe. Anyway, I was hoping for my girl, Miss Alabama, Jesica Ahlberg to win, but unfortunately, the odds were not in her favor. Tho, she was included in the top 20.

Since my girl didn't make the cut in top 10, I placed my bets to California and South Carolina as the new queen but sad to say, they didn't get to the shortlist of top 6. And I opted to choose between the hometown girl Louisiana who's very stunning and the gorgeous latina Nia Sanchez of Nevada. I told myself, either of the two could be the next Miss USA. And I wasn't wrong, Nevada emerged as this year's Miss USA.

I think it was a well-deserved win. Even the pageant experts in the forum I was frequenting say that Nevada is the right choice to be Miss USA. Well, she nailed the Q&A part and her SS and EG performance were both amazing. Well, I'm just kinda sad that my girl didn't win but I'm not complaining Nia won it all. :)

I believe Nia Sanchez would be a great Miss USA. I hope so.

Anyhoo, this is the new Miss USA,

She's gorgeous and stunning isn't she?

Congrats, Nia Sanchez!!!

Bea Rose Santiago is Miss International 2013

I'm so happy that this year, the Philippines managed to bag three crowns! First, we got Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul, and then Miss World 2013 Megan Young. And before we end this year, Bea Rose Santiago was crowned as the new Miss International last December 17, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan. After 8 years, we got to get the Miss International crown again. :D

Truly, the Philippines is the country of the year. We do not only have 3 crowns (2 major crowns and 1 minor crown) for this year but we also placed runner-ups and semi-finalists in other beauty pageants. Bea's win has been a good Christmas gift to all the Pinoys. We are all proud of you, Bea! Congratulations!

She looks so beautiful. She kind of reminds me of Amelia Vega ( Miss Universe 2003). I do not care about the bashers and non-believers, I firmly stand by my belief that she's truly deserving as Miss International 2013. And yeah, I saw her performance. She was so regal, queenly, she's smart and she's very articulate that I love hearing her talk. She's got what it takes to be Miss International! Congratulations Bea Rose Santiago!

Miss USA 2013 is Erin Brady

People who knows me in real life may knew that I'm such a big fan of beauty pageants especially the Miss Universe pageant. Aside from our national beauty pageant here in Philippines, every year I always look forward to Miss USA. Yesterday, I got to watch Miss USA 2013 pageant via live streaming.

And I'm so happy with the results because one of my bets wins the crown...
The new Miss USA 2013, Erin Brady from Connecticut.
She's Erin Brady from the state of Connecticut! She really nailed the pageant and every competitions last night! Wow! She really deserved her winning. I am so happy for her. I hope she'd get to place in Miss Universe 2013 that will be held in Moscow, Russia on November 9th. She's got a lot of potentials! Good luck, new Miss USA!
