Crimson Peak opened in the Philippine theaters last week, October 14, 2015. And as I promised myself, I’m going to watch this film when it hit the Philippine cinemas. I did last Monday~ and I was alone. I just couldn’t wait to watch this movie because, duh! It’s a Tom Hiddleston movie! I wouldn’t want to pass up the chance of seeing this. Anyway, I was supposed to watch Crimson Peak with my friend, but she says she’s not available last weekend that’s why I decided to see the film on my own. I was afraid of not having the chance to see this film on the big screen. I heard that mall cinemas usually run the movies for a good 2-3 weeks, and it depends on how it is received by the movie goers.
By the way, when our office declared a half day because of the typhoon Lando, I went straight to Gateway Mall and was surprised to know that during Monday and Tuesday, the senior citizens of Quezon City have free movie passes. They can watch movies for free. Nice,`no ? I’m not sure if it’s the same in my place. So when I entered cinema 4, I was amused at seeing senior citizens, anticipating the start of the film. I think there were only a few of us who are younger and most of the people in cinema 4 were senior citizens. I’m wondering if there’s any Tom Hiddleston fan out there aside from me. LOL!
Okay, so back to Crimson Peak, I’m not in any way a movie critic, and I cannot say that this blog entry is a movie review. I just want to encourage you guys to watch this film because it’s really great! I’m not saying this because I am a Tom Hiddleston fan, but because this film is worth seeing for. If you’re a fan of gothic, romance, horror, thriller, mystery, then I think you’d get to enjoy Crimson Peak. The story’s really nice, I kid you not. And its director is non-other than Guillermo del Toro so it’s to be expected that the film is good. The lead casts Mia Wasikowsa, Jessica Chastain, and Tom are flawless and perfect in their roles!Ahhh ! I would love to see this film again!
This movie is also just right for Halloween~ and Halloween is coming, so don’t miss this! :)
Rating : 9 out of 10 stars!
