We Are by ONE OK ROCK

My favorite Jrock band, ONE OK ROCK has a new album set to release this year. I'm not sure when's the exact date tho. Haha! Not really much into Japanese entertainment lately and I'm not much updated with what's happening with all my favorite Japanese artists.

I only heard about this new OOR song and music video because I've been seeing this constantly on my news feed. And I decided to finally watch it last night.

The Way Back (Japanese version) ~ ONE OK ROCK

I honestly am not sure if I like this new OOR song or not, The Way Back. It really reminds me of "Sick Sad Little World" of Incubus from their 2004 album A Crow Left of The Murder. Though, it does not sound entirely alike the Incubus song, I mean, how should I say it? Some guitar parts are kind of similar. You be the judge. But it's nice to know that this song has a Japanese version. This is the kind of OOR that we know. Okay, they have full English songs from the way back, but still, it has the JRock vibe, that ONE OK ROCK signature. Do you get what I mean? But in the 35xxxv album? They sound like any other American bands out there.

Anyways, I've also said this to my friend, I'm not really happy about ONE OK ROCK venturing into the US market, but if they like it, then as a fan, all I can do is to support them if that makes them happy. I just hope that they would not forget their usual stuff. I love their old sound and style. It is the ONE OK ROCK we got to love. I know that a band needs to evolve as it is part of a band's growth, but sometimes it does not turn out in a good way. Okay, people, these are just my opinion and I don't speak for the whole fandom. I know most of the fans are okay with their change. Well, that's their preference and yeah, to each his own.

ONE OK ROCK PULP ROYALTY

Update!


I got to snag a Pulp Royalty ticket to ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila concert! Yay! I was supposed to be blogging about it last week, but got too lazy to write anything here. As always. I'm lazy as fuck. I know. Anyway, as I was saying, I got the chance to purchase the ticket that I've been wanting to have since the very first day Amuse Inc. announced that OOR will be having an Asian tour next year! You don't know how much stress I was under during those times. It was the most stressful experience I had in my whole fangirl life ever. It was more stressful than being in the "Hunger Games" with Arashi's DVD or album preorders.

Anyway, I really want the Pulp Royalty ticket. I'm not sure if you're familiar with it, but listed below are the perks you'll be getting if you're a PR ticket holder :

I am currently obsessed with this song!! Taka is so hot I cannot wait to write a novel using him as my hero. I'm gonna write a rock star for a hero once again. Hopefully, I would do so in the future. Perhaps, next year? There are so many ideas in my brain, so many couples, and so many heroes and heroines that want their own stories to be written--- and that would eventually come true if I become "masipag" in writing. LOL. I hope to finish Yuan and Cassie's story this coming holy week! I wish I'd overcome my laziness. XD And TAKA can wait... XD.

Anyway, I vow to make TAKA a hero of my future novel! Actually, the other ONE OK ROCK members are also interesting but then I'm already doing a sort of series of rock band members. I think it's not a good idea making another rock band members stories/novels. Just a bit sad that I only knew about OOR recently. I would have also pegged each members of Vampyres from OOR. But since I haven't written the other Vampyres member's stories, only done with vocalist Shinji and lead guitarist Curtis, I'm thinking of, well, maybe I could peg Drew from Ryota (bassist) and Radley from Tomoya (drummer)...hmm... we'll see. Gambarimasu! :)

Heartache (Rurouni Kenshin: Legends End OST) by ONE OK ROCK  is on my current playlist. I listen to this song from our house to going to the office, EVERYDAY. I just love the song! Ang daming hugot nitong kantang ito kahit hindi ko pa naman naranasan ang heartache. At ito na naman tayo, pinagiisipan ko na naman gumawa ng story based on this song. Ganda-ganda kasi, eh! Nai-inspire ako, but I'm not sure when will I get the chance to write a novel out of this song. I'm not yet done with my current manuscript. Which sucks big time. Masyado akong busy sa gym, eh. LOL. Gumawa talaga ng dahilan, eh, `no? But yeah, I'm really busy with getting fit. CHOS. Halos araw-araw ba naman ako sa gym, eh! Edi kami na ng gym buddy ko ang masipag mag-gym. XD

Anyway, going back to ONE OK ROCK's song Heartache, I wish they did a promotional video for this one. Kaso wala. Pero maganda naman yung jam session nila with this song! Parang MTV Unplugged lang. Kinikilig talaga ako everytime I hear this song. Ang ganda-ganda kasi ng boses ni Taka! I'm in love! ♥

I'm totally addicted to this song! It plays at the end of Rurouni Kenshin. At dahil diyan, crush ko na si Taka (vocalist) of ONE OK ROCK. He really reminds me of Brandon Boyd, circa Drive (2001) :') .
