Happy 41st birthday, Brandon!

Like my any other favorite celebrities, I always make it a habit of greeting my first rock hero Brandon Boyd on his birthday! So happy birthday Brandon! It's been sixteen long years since I became your fan. And though I am not as passionate as I was before during my high school and college years, you'd always be the object of my eternal affection. You're still my favorite rock star.

Wala man akong pa-cake ngayon para sa birthday mo, (unlike in previous years where I always make it a point to have a cake on your birthday), I hope you'd know that I'll always love you and you've become a special part of my life kahit hindi mo ako kilala. Lels.

My birthday wishes for you are still the same. I just hope that you'd start making babies na. Kailangan mo ng tagapagmana ng iyong magandang lahi. Hihi. I can't wait to hear the new Incubus album (in the works right now) and for sure you guys are gonna have a world tour soon! I'm super excited.

The Way Back (Japanese version) ~ ONE OK ROCK

I honestly am not sure if I like this new OOR song or not, The Way Back. It really reminds me of "Sick Sad Little World" of Incubus from their 2004 album A Crow Left of The Murder. Though, it does not sound entirely alike the Incubus song, I mean, how should I say it? Some guitar parts are kind of similar. You be the judge. But it's nice to know that this song has a Japanese version. This is the kind of OOR that we know. Okay, they have full English songs from the way back, but still, it has the JRock vibe, that ONE OK ROCK signature. Do you get what I mean? But in the 35xxxv album? They sound like any other American bands out there.

Anyways, I've also said this to my friend, I'm not really happy about ONE OK ROCK venturing into the US market, but if they like it, then as a fan, all I can do is to support them if that makes them happy. I just hope that they would not forget their usual stuff. I love their old sound and style. It is the ONE OK ROCK we got to love. I know that a band needs to evolve as it is part of a band's growth, but sometimes it does not turn out in a good way. Okay, people, these are just my opinion and I don't speak for the whole fandom. I know most of the fans are okay with their change. Well, that's their preference and yeah, to each his own.

Incubus Live in MOA Arena 2015 :D

Woot! Woot! For the 4th time, my favorite rock band of all-time will be having a concert in Manila! And this time, it's going to be in Mall of Asia Arena!! My friend and I were so excited that we already purchase a ticket last week, Wednesday. Yipee yo! We're going to see Incubus for the 3rd time!!! And... it's just a day after Ed Sheeran's concert on the same venue. We are concert hopping! LOL

I think, the band has a new album, set for release next year. I hope so. Incubus aren't having a world tour if they don't have a new album.

View on Incubus' new album: If Not Now, When?

if i could only complain to Incubus, i would have.. I've been waiting for them to make new album for the past 5 years...

and the new album kinda...kinda disappoint me. I know they're the kind of band who changes music every now and then whenever they make a new album. that's what i like best about them. but tbh, this new album is kinda mediocre for my taste. songs are bland and it doesn't affect me much unlike the previous songs from their previous albums. i was hoping for a fast track or something like the funk-metal sound they used to have, but last Saturday i wanted to cry when I listened to the new album..it's just not my taste. I've been a fan of the band for 10 years and this came to me as a disappointment. I'm not really a fan of ballad songs.

Im not saying I hated the whole album.. it's just that.. i was expecting so much more... but i guess age does really affect ones music. really, this album, it wasn't the worst... but it could have been so much more..but yeah, i was really happy when I watched them live last thursday... my love for Incubus and Brandon Boyd is still there.

16 days before the Incubus concert on the 28th! yaaayy!

So, last night after work my friend Donna and I finally bought a ticket to the Incubus concert at the Araneta Coliseum. originally, the plan was to get the lower box seats... and it costs for about Php 4,755 (if i remember it right), but then when we were at the counter and asking for the ticket prices and available seats, the only ones left were the General Patronage and the Patron Standing! And my friend and I like were ORZZZZ. We are really too late. Well, it cannot be help since the concert is just days away.. so what else do we expect? And besides, Incubus is quite popular here in the Philippines. So after, discussing for roughly about 10 minutes, we finally decided to get the Patron Standing. and seriously, it has been quite a hard decision-making process since we've already set our minds to just waste/spend Php 5k for the tickets. and we're known to be both "Kuripot" LOL. Patron Standing (ticket) is out of the budget, it's about Php5,810 almost close to Php6k~ wtf. but then again, being an Incubus fan for ages that we are, even it is too expensive for us we purchased it anyway. and besides, the Patron Standing is close to the stage! It's the moshpit. LOL.

I'll be seeing Brandon Boyd clearly this time, well hopefully. The last time I went to their concert here in Manila 2008, I was in upper box A section with Donna of course, and it's quite too far from the stage. I can't see Brandon's face and I have to look at the wide screen on top of the coliseum to be able to see him.

Last night was really an OMG moment. I've never spent Php6k in one go in my whole life! everrrrr. Yes, i have already spent more than Php15k perhaps on my Arashi stuffs/goods but it was never in one "bagsakan". But i know deep in my heart I don't regret wasting that huge amount of money for a single concert ticket. I believe it's all worth it. I promised myself that when Incubus comes back here in Manila, i'll be watching again and this time, if not on the most expensive seat, i'd be standing/seating almost near the stage. LOL

Today is February 15, 2010 and on this day a wonderful man is celebrating his 34th year existence in this chaotic world XD.

Brandon Boyd has always been the man of my dreams. I love him not only for his rock star status, I love him for he is a truly wonderful enigmatic human being :) He's not just a mere musician, not just the lead vocalist of Incubus...he's also a writer and a painter... a true blooded emissary of Art :)

Yes, I'll never get tired listening to your music. Will never get tired adoring you, coz it has been my pledge to be forever a fan of yours... I have been admiring you since I was fifteen. And my dream of someday marrying you is always there...lawl. I won't get married until you get married, hahaha.

Since your celebrating your birthday today...what is birthday without a birthday wish??

I think I've overcome my selfishness of not wanting you to get married and all and that it's better that you're gay than marry some bitches out there. Now, I can accept it if you want to spend your life with someone you love. You deserve to be happy Brandon. That's how a true fan wants for you :)

I have so many wishes for you but I guess that's all for now :) I have to reserve some for your 35th birthday next year.

on a boring tuesday afternoon

konnichiwa minna-chan!

what a tiring and boring day it is today...

i couldn't think of anything interesting to post here, I just want to say hi to all of you, yes you, anyone who gets to read my blog. the blog that contains mostly about my flailing, craziness and everything that deserves to be talked about XD--that most of the time are just random and insensible thoughts, hahaha.

and oh yeah, i wrote on my plurk that for the mean time i'll refrain from too much watching of ARASHI shows/doramas/movies and other K-dramas (that I've been addicted for 7 years i think...) because i'll be busy writing my manuscript. and speaking of which, i started writing again, as in all over again, last Friday (last week). and yatta! I'm already in Chapter three! I may say that I was kinda fast in writing my MS during the weekend. usually, I finish a manuscript in not less than two months. hopefully, i can get to finish the one I'm writing now before the end of this month or maybe, the first week of February *crossing fingers*

sooo, what else should i blab about? February is BRANDON BOYD's birth month *super flail*, he'll be turning a gorgeously-hot 34 !!!!! last year, i celebrated his birthday with a birthday cake. and this year, I haven't decided on what will i have for oppa Brandon's birthday...a birthday wish and perhaps a birthday cake with 34 candles around it 8D. talking about wishes, i want INCUBUS to visit MANILA again!!! BRANDON'S TOMS DEBUT

i took a tour at INCUBUS official site here and i found out that the object of my eternal affection Mr. Brandon Boyd had designed for TOMS shoes ( i don't know exactly what TOMs shoes are, honestly.) he's displaying his work of arts. and man, this guy is really talented that's why i love him so much! aside from being the lead singer of the band incubus he is indeed an artist. he sings, he writes and plays music, he paints, writes book... truly amazing!

congratulations dear!

if only they sell those hand-painted Brandon Boyd sneakers i would gladly buy a pair, since I'm a sneakears lover... but sad to say those shoes are limited edition and sold only in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California.

but anyway, i'm happy that aside from touring with his band, Brandon does his passion for painting.
