Korean Drama: Fight My Way ( 2017)

Drama tells the story of Ko Dong-Man and Choi Ae-Ra.

In their school days, Ko Dong-Man took part in taekwondo. Now, he makes a living by working as a contract employee and also goes after the UFC title.

Choi Ae-Ra hoped to become an announcer, but she gave up her dream. Now, she works at the information desk of a department store.

STARRING:

Park Seo-joon as Ko Dong-Man
Kim Ji-won as Choi Ae-Ra
Ahn Jae-hong as Kim Joo-Man
Song Ha-yoon as Baek Seol-Hee

For starters, this entry is not a review but a mere commentary about the drama, Fight My Way. I do not do reviews since hindi naman talaga ako magaling doon. Haha.

Alam n'yo bang isa ito sa masasabi kong favorite kong korean drama evarrrr? Yes. Slice of Life? Relatable kasi yung struggles in life ng mga lead characters.

Every time I see them on the screen together, yung feels at kilig ko overflowing! I instantly became a shipper of these two beautiful people. Sana in real life maging mag-jowa din sila! Haha. At in fairness uli, kahit yung dalawang supporting characters na sina Joo-Man at Seol-Hee, litaw na litaw din ang chemistry.

Anyway, ang pinakagusto ko sa drama na 'to, eh yung character ni Kim Ji Won as Choi Ae-Ra. I really like girls who got spunk and are feisty. I totally love her.

Yung cinematography, bongga as usual. Di naman basta-basta ang Korean drama. I also like the OSTs, malakas maka-LSS. Bentahe talaga ng mga Kdrama `yan no? If you're a huge Kdrama follower/fan, mapapansin n'yo yan sa kanila.

Haha.

Until next hanash!

Korean Drama: My Secret Romance (2017)

Jin-wook and Yoo-mi meet at a Gangwon-do resort and get caught up in a series of misunderstandings and accidents. Yoo-mi was charmed by Jin-wook's sly and playful personality, and they unexpectedly spend the night together. However, Yoo-mi disappears in the morning, leaving Jin-wook feeling perplexed and irrationally angry.

Three years later, the two meet again when Yoo-mi becomes a nutritionist at the company cafeteria where Jin-wook works. They pretend to not recognize each other, while fighting their attraction for each other. Finally Yoo-mi admits that she remembers the incident. Jin-wook asks her the reason why she left him and she replies that it was just a one-night stand.

Sinisipag naman ako today kasi wala naman akong ginagawa sa office as of this writing. Luh.

The last time I watched a Korean drama was last December 2016 with Goblin. Just like Han Hyo Joo and Lee Jong Suk’s W~ Two Worlds, I also wasn’t able to finish Gong Yoo’s popular drama. Ewan ko ba. May issue din ako sa Goblin. When I was on episode 10 (I think), bigla akong nawalan ng ganang tapusin. I’m not exactly sure what my reasons were. Go Eun as Ji Eun Tak (tama nga ba `yung name?). Tapos May-December pa `yung peg nila. LOL! Anyway so, `ayun nga, I can’t remember the last Korean drama I’ve finished watching.

Then come, MY SECRET ROMANCE. In four fucking days, I was able to finish this drama! It’s just like your typical, clichΓ©, same-old same-old drama. So pakialam n’yo ba di ba? Haha.

Parang ang sarap kasi humalik nung leading man. Landi ko naman! So dahil curious nga ako, I decided to watch this drama. First episode and I’m hooked already! I’m familiar with the leading lady Song Ji Eun kasi member siya nung KPop girl group na medyo gusto ko--- SECRET.

Anyway, going back to the MSR, as I’ve said earlier, typical na `yung plot pero mae-enganyo talaga yung viewers sa mga eksena. But that aside, tama `yung timpla ng kilig scenes, yung characters maganda ang portrayal nila sa roles nila especially Sung Hoon as Cha Jin Wook. He’s the perfect Chaebol Oppa. LOL! She’s too PABEBE. And I hate pabebe characters. And she’s not the reason naman why I kept on watching this drama. I love the story. I love its simplicity, the romance and `yung kissing scenes. WTF.

I really wish Pinoy teleseryes would step up their game and be like Korean dramas in terms of production and cinematography.

If you have time or you’re new into Korean dramas, I’d suggest you also watch My Secret Romance.

Plot

A romance takes place between Kang Chul (Lee Jong-Suk), who is super rich and exist in the webtoon “W,” and Oh Yeon-Joo (Han Hyo-Joo) who is a surgeon in the real world.

My thoughts...

Almost two months ko nang pinapanood ang "W" and until now, na-stuck ako sa episode 11... yata. I have to say that the drama was pretty interesting at first. Pero pagdating sa episode 10 parang it's like the typical Korean drama wherein magkaka-amnesia yung hero or heroine. Ganern. Yep, I'm watching "W" because of my beloved HHJ.

And it's just probably me, walang dating kasi sa akin si Kang Chul. LOL! I didn't even know the real name of the lead actor. Weird ba? Ewan ko ba. Wala talaga akong matipuhan na Korean leading men of this generation.

Heh.

JJ's new drama : TRIANGLE

I'm not into asian dramas anymore. And I don't even watch Arashi dramas lately even when I have to because you know, fangirl duties. I dunno. But I guess I lost the interest... until I heard and read somewhere that Jaejoong's got a new drama! Yippee! I'm not really a fan of Jaejoong the "actor" but his new drama got my interest and excitement workin'. He's going to play a gangster! Yes, you heard it right! A gangster! *__* All my fangirl feels just exploded! It's a dream come true for me! I've always dreamed and wanted him to play a gangster. I've read fanfics wherein he's a gangster and it's totally cool. And I think it really suits him well.

TRIANGLE (2014)

I just hope that he's improved his acting this time :). I hope he's not gonna disappoint me. Lol. Well, he did improve in his movie with Song Ji Hyo. But I got high hopes for him in his new drama.

I can hardly wait to see him play as Huh Young Dal (not sure with the spelling, tho.) Saw bts and images and bias aside, I think he's getting on it.

I'm a happy JJ fangirl! ♥

P/S:
Praying there's no kissing scenes involved. I might have a heart attack.
