Heneral Luna (2015)

Mga kapatid, suportahan po natin ang dekalibre na pelikulang #HeneralLuna. Huwag po nating palampasin ang pagkakataon na mapanood ito.

Every aspect of the movie was great! Wala talaga akong masabi sa galing ng lahat ng mga taong involve sa paglikha ng obra-maestrang ito!

To be honest, I'm not the type who watches Filipino movies in theaters, especially the ones we usually see these days. I'm not a fan of the Philippine entertainment in majority since I find the business "walang kuwenta", etc. But this film, made me think that there is still hope for the Filipino movie industry. If you are a Filipino and you haven't watched this film, go ahead and find the nearest cinema in your place! Don't miss the chance of seeing this brilliant film that has ever made in years. It is absolutely amazing. As I've said, the whole aspect of this film-- from the script, cinematography, CGIs, actors, costume, music, director are superb! You definitely can't miss this film, okay? And I wanna say thank you to all the screenwriters, producers and the director who made this wonderful movie. Ginising ng  Heneral ang pagiging makabayan ko. :)

I'm actually going to see this film at the cinema for the third time later. And I haven't done that in any movies before. So this is the first time I'm going to support a movie with all the courage I could give. Haha! Well, I super love Heneral Luna and it's definitely worth supporting for.

The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug

The second installment of The Hobbit is pure awesome! I love everything! I know the "purists" won't agree with me, but I have to say that Sir Peter Jackson has made a great film. I'm such a huge fan. I wanna see the movie again and again! The execution of the battle scenes / fight scenes were epic. And there was this scene where in Bombur had his shining moment. And I'm so glad he had it. You gotta go watch it ;).

I love all the characters in this film and I can't help getting "kilig" seeing Legolas again ♥. His character does not exist in the book but I love how Peter Jackson brought him in this film. The most refreshing character for me is having a girl in the movie in the person of Evangeline Lily who played the fierce Elven warrior "Tauriel". Her character is amazing I wanted to be like her ♥. I'm not just sold on the Tauriel x Kili thing. Hihi. I mean, well, I just can't picture a charming dwarf and a pretty fierce elf together. On the other hand, Thorin Oakenshield is awesome and so male as ever. And do you know what's more exciting? Finally seeing Smaug the dragon on the big screen! I was so "kilig" with his scenes with Bilbo. Sherlock Holmes, err, Benedict Cumberbatch, hello? He was remarkable!!!

I thought in this second installment they're gonna have the Battle of Five Armies, but then we have to wait for the part III! I'm sure that it's gonna be so freakin' & epic-ly staggering!

Suffice to say, Peter Jackson has not disappointed me... yet. I was really satisfied with the The Desolation of Smaug. I'm sure he won't let me down with the last film.

And oh, it's nice seeing this film with two of my friends who are also a huge fan of  The Lord of the rings and The Hobbit. :)

Movie Date : Man of Steel

And I just couldn't help to take a picture with Superman! :)
I went out with my friend Jackie in SM Megamall to watch Man of Steel yesterday. Since our scheduled time was at 3:40 in the afternoon, We had time to meet my other friend Shyne and we stayed a couple of hours at Chatime (my favorite milk tea place) to kill time. Chika, chika and more chika until 3:00 PM. But deep inside I was really excited to enter the cinema. You already know how long I've been waiting for this movie! Since last year, so yeah, was really happy when we finally entered the cinema.

My thoughts about the Man of Steel... it was good as I expected. With Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer and Zach Snyder behind it, I knew it from that start that it's going to kick-ass. And it did. I'm so happy for Henry because there are a lot of people in the cinema *grins wide*. I'm such a proud fangirl!

Anyways, during the first half, in the planet Krypton, I cannot help but be reminded of LOTR/The Hobbit. I mean the effects. It looks a lot like something done by someone who did the effects for the movies I've mentioned. Alas! I was right! I googled last night and found out that the special effects were also done by Weta Digital. Kaya pala.

*Spoiler alert! *

Like what my Friend said on Twitter last night, Man of Steel is not a Superhero movie, it is the story of Clark Kent. Yes, I agree. Man of Steel is about Clark Kent’s backstory and how he started to become Superman. You may find the ending bitin. And I believe that there's going to be a sequel of it. And I read from somewhere that there's a sequel in the making together with a Justice League movie! *squeals in excitement* I just hope if there's really ever a Justice League movie, Henry Cavill will still play as Superman *crosses finger*.

I'm sorry for saying this... I really love Henry and you guys know how much I do but...I think there's still something lacking with his...uhm...acting. He is really good to stare/gape at because he is really hot, sexy, and good-looking and all that, but his usual frowning really bothers me. I've seen this on him so many times in the movies and TV series I've watched him. I'm expecting to see something different from him in this movie but...well, how can I say this? I want to see more emotions, facial expressions from him and he kind of disappoints me on this. I'm not the only one who thinks about this, yeah?

~Yaney, don't compare Henry to Leonardo. They are different. duh?? *reminds self*

But I think Henry Cavill suits to be this new era's Superman. Well, I really hope in the second installment, we'll see something new and he improved~

And by the way, if there’s an actor who standout for me in this movie, I would have to say that it’s Michael Shannon who plays General Zod.

All in all, I like the movie. I love the action scenes and the special effects. They really put their utmost effort for this. This reboot is generally awesome! I actually want to watch it again, in 3D or IMAX the next time.

Movie Date : The Great Gatsby

Hindi ako napa-WOW sa story (I guess I have to read the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald and watch the 1974 version to compare) pero sa acting ni Leonardo DiCaprio talaga ako napa-WOW! Well, given na iyon, basta si Leo ang pinaguusapan (at impressive din si Tobey Maguire. sobrang kinikilig ako sa bromance nila, how I wish sila na lang, Gatsby at Nick Carraway nagkatuluyan dun sa movie. Lol.)

I have this question and it bothers me a bit, why is that Leo always die in his movies? Why? Sometimes, I can't help but think that he's asking for it...

Anyway, after watching The Great Gatsby yesterday, we had our dinner at Shakey's :). It was a fun day with my friends. Actually, it was me who made them kulit to accompany me watching The Great Gatsby (Star Trek dapat `yun kaso Red already watched it the day before). Lol. I have great friends who didn't have seconds thoughts in joining me in a "date" with Leo. Aren't they awesome? :D
