Christmas Get Together with Friends!

This is super late post!

at Tamagoya Noodle House and Cookie Mug at Lilac St.
2 weeks ago I had a Christmas party celebration with my friends from college (and a friend's friend) :D. Yearly we do this event to be together for catch ups and everything over dinner and coffee.

Hihi. The place was nice and the food at Tamagoya was good. It's authentic Japanese cuisine with a very affordable price. You might as well try it. It's in Brgy. Mayamot in Antipolo near Lilac St. in Marikina City.

Japanese Night! [10-18-2014]

My friends and I called our 11th year anniversary celebration, "Japanese Night". It's not, exactly, "Japanese", Japanese. We just came up with that idea because we planned on eating Japanese food which by the way, was not entirely Japanese food. LOL. And we watched some Japanese movie and some Japanese variety shows, particularly Arashi's variety shows.

We got,

sushi
which my friend bought at shopwise.

Korean Style Fried Chicken
For the love of Kim Jaejoong, we KPOP-ed our chicken with the help of McCormmick's Korean Fried Chicken Mix.
The product has 4 variants : Soy garlic, Kimchi, Bulgogi and Spicy.
We chose the Soy garlic flavor since my friends are not a fan of spicy dishes.

Pepper rice
My friends liked the one I made for them the last time they were in our house. Friend 1 asked me to make pepper rice again for our Japanese night, so yeah we had it in our menu list. I learned this recipe from a vlogger I always watch on YouTube.

sharksfin
We all know it's Chinese. LOL

And these were all the food we ate last Saturday night.

And this is US. We looked like we're having a baseball game with our uniformed baseball tees.

Wow. We've been together for 11 years. It's been so long. I Hope we'll stay forever, even if some us got married.  Haha! I've got amazing friends and I'm very thankful for it. :)

MIBF and Phr Cocktail Party

pic (c) from ate liezel
In fer, parang ang ganda ko dito sa pic na'to. Lol.
I went to the Manila International Book Fair with some of friends to support our favorite author, Miss Vanessa of PHR, who had a book launching of "Diary ng Chubby" and the romance erotica book, "Skin". ang daming naka-sale na libro at kung marami lang akong budget, I would have bought a lot of books yesterday. Sucks. Wala na akong budget, eh. Next week pa naman ang payday.

Anyway, after MIBF, we attended PHR Cocktail Party. Well, hindi ko na sasabihin ang mga kaganapan doon. All I can say is, I had a lot of fun because I was with my friends. :) It's really amazing to be with your friends.

P/S. Today marks the first year of the ugly scar I got from my surgery last year. Yeah, it's been a year since I had my partial Oophorectomy. Lol.

Happy 28th birthday, Red!

(c) red's instagram

Had fun with my college besties over the weekend. We celebrated Red's birthday at megamall and also got to attend/visit the Phil. ToyCon in megatrade hall. It was fun. Well, particularly because of the costumes worn by the actors of Rurouni Kenshin live action movie being displayed in the toy convention. Got excited coz I'm a huge fan of Himura Kenshin and the actor who played the role is one of my Japanese crushes. May katas niya yung costume. LOL

Anyway, this blog entry is for my dear friend whom I have been friends with for more than 10 years.

Red,

I wish that you'll always be blessed with good health, wealth, provisions and guidance. And that all your dreams and endeavors in life will come true. :) Happy birthday! I hope that even after 20 years, we could still be friends~ we're all in this together! for better or for worse! I love you so much and thank you for being such an amazing friend and supporter! ♥ ♥

*and last Saturday, I just realized that I'm soooo effin' F-A-T!!! As in like FAT. I'm so huge and I can't believe that I got so fat like this. Huhu. Need to lose weight now. And take this thing seriously. I wish I had a phobia in food. lol.

Rak of Aegis @ PETA

Last Saturday, me and my PHR workshop classmates turned real friends were invited to watch a stage musical, Rak of Aegis at PETA theatre. It was my 2nd time to watch a stage play/musical. Oo, before hindi talaga ako mahilig sa mga ganyan. Anyway, I super enjoyed watching Rak of Aegis. Nagka-LSS pa ako sa songs ng Aegis! Haha.

Iyong nasa right side na katabi ko sa pic at naka-orange ay si (Kuya) Tolits, my favorite character in the play. Super nakakatuwa siya! Haha.

I was really happy that day! I never get to see my classmates/friends often, kaya naman nakakatuwa na muli kaming nagkasama-sama.

Satur-date @ Star City

Yesterday was my first time at Star City. Not really a fan of amusement parks, but nonetheless, it was so much fun. Well, I guess being with my friends will always be fun. :) We didn't get to ride all the rides, but I really enjoyed. I got to ride one extreme ride and that is the "Surf Dance".

Waiting in the queue of the Blizzard ride.

Us being silly.

Being more silly.

Me, Donna and Jackie.

We just love being silly and goofy.
Inside the Ferris wheel. I forgot how they call it.

And then, we are only four. LOL

Christmas Party & 10 Years of Friendship Celebration With My Friends ♥

I had a Christmas party with my college friends last Saturday night at Music Match in Home Depot, Ortigas. I channeled Taylor Swift, but it was epic fail. LOL. Every time I'm with my friends, it is always awesome. :)
We got the same room we had last year. :) And my friend Jackie,
had the same pose she had last year. LOL.
Gift-giving. Hihi.

Movie Date : The Great Gatsby

Hindi ako napa-WOW sa story (I guess I have to read the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald and watch the 1974 version to compare) pero sa acting ni Leonardo DiCaprio talaga ako napa-WOW! Well, given na iyon, basta si Leo ang pinaguusapan (at impressive din si Tobey Maguire. sobrang kinikilig ako sa bromance nila, how I wish sila na lang, Gatsby at Nick Carraway nagkatuluyan dun sa movie. Lol.)

I have this question and it bothers me a bit, why is that Leo always die in his movies? Why? Sometimes, I can't help but think that he's asking for it...

Anyway, after watching The Great Gatsby yesterday, we had our dinner at Shakey's :). It was a fun day with my friends. Actually, it was me who made them kulit to accompany me watching The Great Gatsby (Star Trek dapat `yun kaso Red already watched it the day before). Lol. I have great friends who didn't have seconds thoughts in joining me in a "date" with Leo. Aren't they awesome? :D

weekend getaway with friends @Nasugbu, Batangas

For this year, it's my 3rd time to go in an out of town trip. First was in Boracay and second in Bohol.

This time, it was for the pre-celebration of two of my friends' birthdays. Red's which will fall tomorrow, June 19 and Diane's which will be on Wednesday, June 20.

the short vacay was over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Together with five of my friends and the three boyfriends (of course, my friends' boyfriends), we went to Nasugbu, Batangas. The original plan was to stay at a resort in, Lobo, but then we changed plans so we ended up going to Nasugbu.

it was a bit raining and it's high tide.
the resort which we stayed at.
our room.  i only took a picture of the bed where red, diane and I occupied.
It was simple but really nice. It has aircon and TV. but cable channels were few and selected.

the boys were the ones preparing our dinner XD.
we did the grocery and buying the ingredients for our dinner and the boys cooked.

pork adobo, hotdogs, and barbeque for dinner.
a snapshot with my best buddies ♥
(from left to right: Red, Donna, Diane, Jackie, Teresa and me :) )
there were a lot of pics from this trip which I posted on my Facebook :) . my weekend was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it. we headed back to Manila at lunch time and we stopped over at Tagaytay for the late lunch. I got home before 8PM yesterday.

Sunday @ PETA 03.07.2010

I'm full right now, I just ate my dinner...

but this entry is not about food...

Yesterday my friends from workshop and I went to watch a stage play at the PETA theater, And honestly it was my first time ever. For me, stage plays are boring, I prefer watching a rock concert. But then, I changed my mind yesterday... watching a stage play was really awesome! It was sugoi!!!!!! The play was entitled "SI JUAN, ANG DIABLO AT LIMANG MILYONG BOTO". The actors were sooooo gooood! I mean... I was really entertained 8D. And the story was timely, coz it was about the coming election. Just like in the Philippines, the election will be on May 2010.

After the play, we get to have pictures with the play casts.... and the most memorable for me was having a photo with the main lead Juan Tamad (symbolizes the Filipinos, sad but true!)

and this is my kodak moment with the cutie pie JT

It was obvious that I really like the hug, ne? Haha..oh yes... Juan Tamad smelled so goooodddd.... XD

The day was really fun... I enjoyed every bit of it. How I wish we, my workshop friends/classmates had a longer time to bond. I felt like it was soooo bitin. But I know there are still time that we can get to see each other again.
