BBC's The Hollow Crown

I've always been fascinated with history especially the British monarchy. I'm currently watching this made-for-TV-movie, BBC's "The Hollow Crown". The major factor why I'm watching this series is all because of my dear Tom Hiddleston. I am bored with most of the parts (LOL) but when Tom flashes on my TV screen, the boredom fades away instantly :D. That's how amazing he is. He makes a boring series or movie interesting for me. I sound biased but that's just the way I feel. I love Tom Hiddleston and I think he's an awesome actor. He got skillz yah know!  

Miss USA 2013 is Erin Brady

People who knows me in real life may knew that I'm such a big fan of beauty pageants especially the Miss Universe pageant. Aside from our national beauty pageant here in Philippines, every year I always look forward to Miss USA. Yesterday, I got to watch Miss USA 2013 pageant via live streaming.

And I'm so happy with the results because one of my bets wins the crown...

She's Erin Brady from the state of Connecticut! She really nailed the pageant and every competitions last night! Wow! She really deserved her winning. I am so happy for her. I hope she'd get to place in Miss Universe 2013 that will be held in Moscow, Russia on November 9th. She's got a lot of potentials! Good luck, new Miss USA!

An Epic Happy 30th Neen Day Celebration!

It was Nino’s birthday yesterday and as a fan of Arashi, it’s been a tradition for us to celebrate each member’s birthdays. And yesterday we did our #Happy30thNeenDay celebration at SM Megamall. The original plan was to have a burger date with three of my friends. Two of whom are Nino wifeys and one, a Sho wifey and of course I am a Jun wifey. But when we got there we found out that there’s no Brother’s Burger nor Wham *sinungaling ang google! Sabi may Brother’s Burger at Wham sa Megamall!* so we end up having dinner and celebrating at Bubble Tea (a Japanese restaurant). Instead of burger, I got myself a Katsudon, which is my favorite dish in Bubble Tea *yum* and a large Royal Milk Tea, I always want my milk tea as it is. No other flavors just the simple milk tea.

Anyways, we dine and we chit-chat. We talked about a lot of things, silly things and of course Arashi & Nino-related stuffs. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed the night with my girlfriends.

We called it a night at 9PM when we got out of the mall; I was overwhelmed with the long line in the terminal bound to Marikina *gasps!*. It rained heavy in the afternoon and I didn’t expect that many people will get stranded because I thought it was just rain. Not bagyo. Not storm. Not Arashi.

So, dahil hindi ako mapakali at medyo tanga na hindi alam kung paano makakasakay pauwi, naglakad ako papunta sa Edsa and was upset to found so many people in the street waiting for a bus or a cab or anything na masasakyan. In fairness to me, hindi pa ako masyadong inis sa lagay na yan, ang ganda ng araw ko eh, tapos I just had a fun night with my friends. Malay ko ba naman na ganun talaga kahirap umuwi? Okay, medyo expected na rin pero siyempre, I took a risk. Ako nagyaya sa mga kaibigan ko sa burger date, so bakit hindi ako pupunta? And this is Neens’ 30th birthday! Hello?! Naisip ko, mahihirapan din ako makasakay ng cab or bus sa Edsa dahil mas maraming tao roon at punong-puno talaga ang mga bus. Sa kasamaang palad, bumalik ako ulet dun sa may terminal ng mga biyaheng Marikina. Pumila ako, pero saglit lang, kasi I’m sure mas lalo akong hindi makakauwi nito kung maghihintay ako run sa pila! My gosh! Ang daming tao kaya at umuulan pa. I was roaming around the street looking for a cab, may nakita naman ako, ayaw naman bumiyahe ng mga manong dahil baha daw sa c-5! At traffic pa. So, how the fuck can I get home??? Buti sana kung walang pasok kinabukasan. Pero meron, meron, meron. May nakasalubong akong ale, naghahanap rin cab na masasakyan. I asked her kung taga-saan siya, “Sa Marikina,” din daw! I smiled. Naisip ko kasi, puwede kaming magsabay. Ako kasi, dahil marami akong pera, LOL, kasehodang kahit magkano `yan makauwi lang ako sa amin o kahit hanggang sa Marikina lang. Kahit sa Marikina lang, OK na, eh. Basta makarating lang ako ng Marikina, wala nang problema.

So, ayun nga, nagkasundo kami ng ale na magsabay na lang sa cab at mangontrata. OK, naghanap kami ng cab, puro ayaw! Mga maaarte! >.< pero yung huling nilapitan namen, mabait siya. Ang bait ni manong. God bless him! Hay, salamat talaga Papa God! Pumayag siya na ihatid kami sa Marikina *wide smile*. OK nga lang sa kanya na tig-pi-fifty kami, pero lugi rin naman si manong dun, so sabi namen, Php100 na lang ang bayad namen bawat isa. Pumayag si manong! Halleluja!!! May nakasabay pa kaming 2 girls at yung kapatid nung ale na nakausap ko sa kalsada. Pagkatapos nun, sumakay na kami at lumarga na pa-Marikina. Hindi naman ganun ka-traffic sa Edsa at hindi rin naman baha. Sobrang thankful talaga ako kay Papa God at kay manong cab driver dahil makakauwi na rin ako sa wakas at hindi ako gaanong na-stranded, di gaya ng ibang pasahero. I got home past 11PM. Thanks God talaga!

Last night was indeed an epic Happy 30th Neen Day! LOL. Sa buong buhay ko, kagabi ko lang narasan ang ma-stranded sa daan. At kagabi ko lalong napatunayan kung gaano ko ka-LOVE si Nino at ang Arashi!

Movie Date : Man of Steel

And I just couldn't help to take a picture with Superman! :)

I went out with my friend Jackie in SM Megamall to watch Man of Steel yesterday. Since our scheduled time was at 3:40 in the afternoon, We had time to meet my other friend Shyne and we stayed a couple of hours at Chatime (my favorite milk tea place) to kill time. Chika, chika and more chika until 3:00 PM. But deep inside I was really excited to enter the cinema. You already know how long I've been waiting for this movie! Since last year, so yeah, was really happy when we finally entered the cinema.

My thoughts about the Man of Steel... it was good as I expected. With Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer and Zach Snyder behind it, I knew it from that start that it's going to kick-ass. And it did. I'm so happy for Henry because there are a lot of people in the cinema *grins wide*. I'm such a proud fangirl!

Anyways, during the first half, in the planet Krypton, I cannot help but be reminded of LOTR/The Hobbit. I mean the effects. It looks a lot like something done by someone who did the effects for the movies I've mentioned. Alas! I was right! I googled last night and found out that the special effects were also done by Weta Digital. Kaya pala.

Like what my Friend said on Twitter last night, Man of Steel is not a Superhero movie, it is the story of Clark Kent. Yes, I agree. Man of Steel is about Clark Kent’s backstory and how he started to become Superman. You may find the ending bitin. And I believe that there's going to be a sequel of it. And I read from somewhere that there's a sequel in the making together with a Justice League movie! *squeals in excitement* I just hope if there's really ever a Justice League movie, Henry Cavill will still play as Superman *crosses finger*.

I'm sorry for saying this... I really love Henry and you guys know how much I do but...I think there's still something lacking with his...uhm...acting. He is really good to stare/gape at because he is really hot, sexy, and good-looking and all that, but his usual frowning really bothers me. I've seen this on him so many times in the movies and TV series I've watched him. I'm expecting to see something different from him in this movie but...well, how can I say this? I want to see more emotions, facial expressions from him and he kind of disappoints me on this. I'm not the only one who thinks about this, yeah?

But I think Henry Cavill suits to be this new era's Superman. Well, I really hope in the second installment, we'll see something new and he improved~

And by the way, if there’s an actor who standout for me in this movie, I would have to say that it’s Michael Shannon who plays General Zod.

All in all, I like the movie. I love the action scenes and the special effects. They really put their utmost effort for this. This reboot is generally awesome! I actually want to watch it again, in 3D or IMAX the next time.

Can't effin' wait for tomorrow!!

I am so effin' excited for tomorrow's Philippine premiere of Man of Steel!!!! I just can't wait for this day/night to end.

Arashi Live Tour Popcorn DVD :D

Yay!! Finally my Arashi Popcorn Live Tour DVD LE arrived in our house this morning!! I'm so freakingly happy right now!! *dances to Happiness by Arashi* And I thought it got hold in Customs because it's been shipped last week and CDJ said my item would be shipped in 3-4 days. But hell! It took 7 days before I finally got my hands on it. But anyway, I am so happy right now (ulet-ulet?) because I can already watch it over the weekend :).

Of Social Gatherings & Writing Plans~

Hi! It’s already June and it means, it’s Ninomiya Kazunari month! Grabe, ang bilis talaga ng panahon. Imagine, parang no’ng isang araw January lang, tapos ngayon, it’s June na! Pagkatapos nito, ilang tulog at kembot lang August na!

I look forward to do so many things this month. I went to Cavite/Tagaytay last Saturday-Sunday with my friends in Vanadikz group (readers ng isa sa best-selling author ng PHR and one of my favorite writers din, si Miss Vanessa.) Sobrang saya lang kahapon. Kahit hindi kami kompleto, sobrang enjoy talaga.

Man of Steel, siyempre on June 12! Like I said on my previous post, I’m so effin’ excited about this :D. Then, my mudrabelles 67^th Birthday tomorrow. Simpleng handa lang siguro bukas for mama. On the 8^th of June, I’ll get my first shot for my medication for this month. I turned down a gala kasi I have to stay at home muna on weekends because I have a brainstorming & a writing session with my writing buddies the following week, 15^th-16^th.  And on the 17^th, it’s Nino’s Birthday :D! Don’t know what to do yet to celebrate his birthday. Hmmm… Medyo matagal pa naman, so, yeah.   On the 22^nd day of this month, 3 of my friends will be celebrating their birthdays. Since, sunod-sunod ang birthdays nila, we decided (at talagang kasama ako sa nag-decide? Haha!) that they celebrate it together on the same day. Since, my schedule’s a bit full on weekends, final date na for the celebration ang 22.

Aside from my social gatherings for this month, I plan to continue writing my currently-in-progress. I hope to finish this before the month ends. Ambisyosa ko lang, no? Well, kasi naman, ilang months nang naka-tengga ang story ni Andres at Georgeann. Don’t know what to do na. Siguro kaya hindi ko masulat-sulat nang tuloy-tuloy ang manuscript na ‘to kasi walang peg ang hero ko. Hindi ko kasi ma-imagine ang mukha niya. Haha! When I write kasi, dapat may visual peg ang hero ko, kaso dito kay Andres wala akong maisip na peg. Tingin ko lang, mas effective ang pagsusulat ko kung may inspirasyon ang hero ko. I need to find a visual peg for Andres. Hmm..sino kaya? I really want to finish it na because I have so many plans to write. If ever I’d get to finish Andres, edi masaya! I’ll move on to writing my dream trilogy. Oh yes! I’m thinking of writing a trilogy :p. Wala lang, kasi kasama naman talaga `yan sa writing goals ko, eh. Tsaka, may *aherm* may nagre-request saken thru PM in FB about the other 3 members of Vamypyres. Sana daw may stories din sina Drew, Radley at Curtis. I already have titles for the 3 books. I got the inspiration from Aerosmith songs that has Alicia Silverstone in the music video: Cryin’. Amazing. Crazy. The problem is, I don’t have the title of the trilogy yet. At kay Drew pa lang ako nakaisip ng plot. Na hindi pa concrete *masulat nga sa notebook to para hindi mawala ang ideas ko*. Wish ko lang, diba sana ang sipag-sipag ko para masimulan ko na rin ‘to. Kaya lang, tamad ako, eh. As in sobra. You can put a crown on me as the laziest frustrated writer . Lol. Procrastinate kasi nang procrastinate ang peg ko. Kakainis lang, no? Haay! Dayum. Dami kasi gumugulo sa isip at atensiyon ko! Tapos, I have a writing challenge with my friends, who also shares the same passion for writing. We created a blog for that writing challenge and then we get a certain word topic from a random word generator and then we’ll write something about that word. It could be in a form of essay, story or anything that you could think of.  We’ll post our work on the blog by the end of the month. The submission will start on June 30. Shucks! Pressure kasi, diba nga I still don’t have the drive to write. Tapos hindi pa  masyadong ma-grasp ng braincells ko yung word na “skulking”. Leche. Ang hirap ng word, ha?

I hope I’ll be able to do all my writing goals and plans. Hopefully, matapos ko na ang istorya ni Andres at Georgeann kasi leche naman, ang tagal na nun no!  Bawal na talaga ang tamad >.<!
